Rules to take care while doing manual entries in MP
When new subscriber is created in MP, it must have email address and email address and user id must be same.
Email address must be unique and as we are using same in user id, this unique constraint is checked with the field user id in Multipub.
Do not use any other user id like “amagallanes” OR “rcannady” while creating new subscriber and instead use only email address.
We are not allowing customer to change their user id and so email. In any case, customer comes to change email id, make sure to change the user id as well and keep those 2 fields same.
Before changing the address of subscriber, make sure that they are not having any active print products. And if they have then please confirm with them for changing shipping address.
If subscriber is providing different billing and shipping information then please ask for 2 email addresses and use those in user id too. In any case if they are not giving 2 emails and have only 1, please enter only shipping details in Multipub. Or please contact us with such scenarios so we can think of option/logic.
Whenever you are entering any firm name in Multipub for new subscriber, then please see similar firm name is available in our system or not. And if available, please use the same firm name / spelling etc. to avoid creating new account in Salesforce.
